The ENS App Alpha is now live on Sepolia testnet. It features a simpler registration flow, stablecoin payments, notifications, chain and wallet abstraction, and an improved dashboard. This is a true alpha release and some parts are still evolving. We'd love your feedback!
Today, we're launching the alpha ENS App, a complete reimagining of how people register and manage their ENS names. When we set out to rebuild the ENS experience, we started with a simple question: What's the fastest way for someone to get a name? After months of development and feedback, we're ready to share what we've built with the broader ENS community.

The centerpiece of the new ENS App is its registration flow. Previously, users had to navigate a multi-step process: submit a commitment transaction, wait through a mandatory timer to prevent front-running, and then confirm with a second transaction. With the new ENS App, we've compressed what used to be a multi-step, multi-transaction process into a single step.
Here's what's happening behind the scenes when you register a name:
All of this happens automatically while you see a simple, reassuring message: "We're setting up your name."
For users, it feels more familiar to web commerce UX. Under the hood, it's fully decentralized, and self-custodial.
The ENS App includes a number of highly-requested features, such as notifications. As the UX layer for Ethereum accounts and addresses, we've also prioritized simplicity when transacting across different EVM chains.
- Notifications Set up expiration reminders via email, Telegram, or your browser so you never lose a name to expiry.
- Flexible Authentication Connect with your self-custody wallet, or use Web2 login methods including email, X, or Telegram.
- Stablecoin Payments Register and renew names using stablecoins on any EVM chain, eliminating the volatility concerns that come with ETH-denominated pricing.
- Chain and Wallet Abstraction Sign once, and the app handles gas fees and stablecoin swaps automatically on any EVM chain. (Note, for the Alpha, registrations are made using Sepolia USDC).
Once you've registered a name, the ENS App becomes your identity hub:
- All Your Names in One Place: View and manage your entire ENS portfolio, with plans to include subnames like .base, .uni, and .celo in future iterations.
- Favorites: Track names you're interested in and get notified when they're about to expire.
- Contextual Education: Discover new ways to use your ENS name through integration spotlights and educational content.
- Easy Primary Name Selection: Switch between names with a simple dropdown.
Coming to future ENS App releases:
- Multi-Chain Visibility: See what address your name resolves to across different networks.
- Better Name Management: Name transfers, renewals, subname management
The ENS App is the first application to interact with the ENSv2 contracts, taking advantage of the protocol's new capabilities, including improved multi-chain support, flexible ownership models, and streamlined name management.
While ENSv2 brings significant technical improvements, the ENS App ensures that you don't need to understand any of the underlying complexity to benefit from it.
The ENS App Alpha is now available on Sepolia testnet. This is a true alpha release, and we're actively shaping it through early feedback.

We're actively collecting feedback throughout the alpha phase. Your input will directly shape the final product launching with ENSv2. Share idea or issues using the Feedback button in the app.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be iterating based on alpha tester feedback, refining the user experience, and adding polish. The ENS App will launch alongside ENSv2 as the primary gateway for everyday users to claim and manage their ENS names.
For developers, power users, and those who want to dive deeper into the protocol, stay tuned. We'll be sharing more about the ENS Explorer very soon.
